ISBN 10 to 13 Transition
The International ISBN Organization has determined that in January 2007, the ISBN will be redefined from a 10-digit to a 13-digit number. Although the old numbers can still be used for some time after that, their days have been counted. The new ISBN numbers will replace the old ones. Not only book sellers, but also libraries will have to use the new numbering system.
